Hottie Pinay Heart Evangelista says goodbye to bf Jericho and transfer TV stations to GMA 7

Hottie Pinay Heart Evangelista says goddbye to bf Jericho and transfer TV stations to GMA 7

The last time I saw Heart Evangelista on ABS-CBN was her guest appearance on the newest game show of ABS-CBN, “The Singing Bee.” Unfortunately, she was eliminated on the first round of the game. Just this week, I was surprised to see her on GMA 7’s 24 Oras. From the news teaser, I immediately noticed that it was Heart Evangelista. by Makoy

On the story conference of the upcoming GMA teleserye “Asero”, Heart Evangelista confirmed that she broke up with Jericho Rosales and she is now excited with her new loveteam Richard Gutierrez.

“It’s finished. I decided… you know there’s a lot of things that we did not get along with… a lot of things so that’s it,” Heart confessed on Chika Minute segment of 24 Oras last night.

Aside from Asero, the loveteam of Heart and Richard will also grace the silverscreen which led people to speculate that their on screen team-up could lead to real life.

And so, after all the blind items and the unconfirmed tab headlines, Heart Evangelista has finally admitted that she and Jericho Rosales have decided to part ways after going steady for more than three years.

“Heart realized that she has to focus on her career,” Annabelle Rama told The STAR yesterday. Annabelle is the new manager of Heart, with Heart’s father, Rey Ongpauco, as co-manager.

A few days ago, Heart signed a two-year contract with GMA. Heart was formerly a contract star of ABS-CBN where she did her last TV starrer, Pangarap Kong Bituin.

“I also realized that I’ve done my parents wrong by disobeying them,” said Heart who reconciled with her parents after being estranged for three years.

It must be recalled that Heart entered into a relationship with Jericho against her parents’ wishes.

Asked if she and Jericho “lived-in,” Heart said no.

KC Concepcion making waves in Philippines TV

KC Concepcion making waves in Philippines TV

On a busy afternoon, a pretty young girl sips her coffee in a lush condominium. Quite by accident, she spills the drink and the hot liquid runs through the rug. The household help rushes in with a sponge and a bowl of water in hand, ready to clean up the mess. To everyone's surprise, the pretty young girl takes the bowl and sponge, gets down on her knees, and begins to scrub away at the stain. Despite pleas for her to just leave it be, she insists on scrubbing away at the stain until the rug is finally clean.

It is a simple story of a girl who decided to show her respect to the home's owner by cleaning up after her own mess. That is, until you find out that the pretty young girl is KC Concepcion and the lush condominium was the makeshift dressing room for the cover shoot for the May issue of Preview magazine, which took place at the rooftop of a condominium building.

The entire Preview team was caught by surprise when KC got down on her knees to clean up the stain; after all, they had been treating her like the celebrity that she is all afternoon. But in that simple act of humility, KC proved that behind all the glitz and glamour is a girl who is just like everyone else—she just happens to be in show business.

As KC's star shines brightly in all forms of media, it's hard to believe that she spent much of her childhood not wanting to be in show business. "It's a dance," KC tells Preview, "Everything—fashion, acting, music—melds and works together, and that's the beauty of what we in showbiz do; it's that we can do many things all at the same time."

As KC concentrates on music and acting, she acknowledges that she could even be doing a lot more, especially since she entered showbiz to fill a personal, creative need. "But it would have been crazy!"

Watching KC as she prepared for the Preview cover shoot, one would think that her life is moving at such a dizzying speed, it is almost crazy. The Preview team paints a picture of a multi-tasking KC: as she was being dolled up on the make-up chair, she studied a script on her lap and talked to her manager, her mobile phone tucked between her ear and her shoulder.

The pressure is clearly on, and KC knows it. "I don't think people realize that there's double the pressure for me compared to others who've been in the industry for a long time and have learned the ropes here. In my case all eyes are on the work and if you mess up, you're dead," she says, "And this makes me work doubly hard."

But she is quick to add that her mom, megastar Sharon Cuneta, has taught her a thing or two about being in this business. "My mom reminded me that at the end of the day, it is work, and that you shouldn't drown in it," she shares, "Just do your work because people will always say whatever they want about you—good or bad."

KC simply soldiers on through showbiz and tries to apply as much of her Paris education as she can. With a degree in International Corporate Communications from the American University in Paris, KC explains that many of the things she learned have fueled her fascination with brands. "I love brands!" she says excitedly. "And in my work as an actor, I'm my own brand. And I'm also my own corporation, with my own product lines. I have my music, TV, endorsements, and hopefully a movie—and they're all under my brand. It's cool!"
